Crypto Council for Innovation, Blockchain Association, and The Digital Chamber Announce Support for Senate Floor Consideration of the Clarity Act
July 24, 2026 (Washington, DC) - Today, the Crypto Council for Innovation, Blockchain Association, and The Digital Chamber sent a joint letter to Majority Leader Thune and Minority Leader Schumer expressing strong support for Senate floor consideration of the Digital Asset Market Clarity (Clarity) Act.
In the letter, the leading trade associations said there “is a crucial opportunity for the Senate to improve upon the status quo by establishing durable rules for digital assets that protect consumers, safeguard markets, and ensure that innovation can thrive in the United States.”
The need for a market structure framework has become increasingly urgent as digital asset adoption has accelerated across the United States. Nearly 67 million Americans, about one in four, already own digital assets, and recent research demonstrates that this trend is only growing.
The Clarity Act would establish the first comprehensive federal framework for digital asset markets, replacing today’s patchwork of state money transmitter and licensing regimes with robust, purpose-built consumer safeguards tailored to digital assets.
The joint letter respectfully urged Senate leadership to prioritize floor consideration so Congress can deliver the regulatory certainty that innovators, consumers, and financial markets have requested for years.
“For the United States to maintain its position as the global leader of financial innovation, there is no substitute for the long-term certainty of durable market structure legislation,” the letter concluded.
