Leading Digital Asset Trade Associations Urge Senate to Vote Yes on the Clarity Act

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Blockchain Association, the Crypto Council for Innovation, and The Digital Chamber issued the following joint statement ahead of today’s Senate vote on the Clarity Act:

“Today, the Senate has an opportunity to advance the most consequential digital asset market structure legislation in a generation. We urge every senator to vote yes on taking up the Clarity Act.

Clarity would establish long-overdue consumer protections, strengthen regulatory oversight and public-safety tools, and give innovators clear rules for building in the United States. The current legislation reflects major concessions by the digital asset industry following years of bipartisan work and sustained engagement among Congress, federal regulators, the White House, law enforcement, consumer advocates, and market participants.

A yes vote is critical and keeps the process moving. Doing so will ensure that Senators have opportunities to debate and move this much-needed legislation to the Senate floor. Delay would entrench regulatory gaps that leave consumers exposed, create uncertainty for responsible businesses, and send jobs, investment and technological leadership overseas, putting U.S. leadership at risk.

The United States should lead in shaping the future of digital finance. We respectfully urge every Senator to vote yes.”
